The simulation of  mixing and stirring in inclined blade stirrers can perfectly be performed with NOGRID CFD software. This inclined blade stirrer has a high rotational speed, is a tangentially and axially conveying stirrer type and is mostly used for low-viscosity media. The container shapes often have different degrees of slenderness and bottom shapes. This inclined blade stirrer has a round bottom (dished bottom) and is suitable for pressure-resistant stirring processes. Furthermore, fluid-dynamic dead zones are avoided by the continuous transition to the cylindrical container wall. Containers with low aspect ratios, such as in this case study, tend to be manufactured for small volumes. The inclined blade stirrer has a pronounced conveying effect and a vortex is still formed. A characteristic flow pattern results from the stirring speed and the shape of the container or the stirring blades.

Mixing is an important part in chemical industry and appears in processes such as dispersion of two or more liquid, powdery or gaseous ingredients, deagglomeration to avoid lumps and homogenization of mixtures.

Particular strengths of NOGRID's fluid flow CFD software are the rapid preprocessing (no fluid grid needs to be generated, only the boundary mesh, inner finite points are generated automatically depending on User setting initially and during computation), and the outstandingly short computation time even for complicated cavities.
As you can see in the image below, the boundary of the geometry still requires a mesh to allow the interior finite points to detect the boundary. The boundary must therefore be meshed and the finite points inside are automatically generated during the simulation controlled by User specifications.
